These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ZidaKredit website, mobile application, and all associated services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by ZidaKredit Nigeria Limited ("ZidaKredit", "we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
To use ZidaKredit's services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age - Be a Nigerian citizen or resident - Have a valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) - Have an active Nigerian bank account - Have a verifiable source of income or business activity - Not be in default on any existing credit obligations
By applying for a loan, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility criteria. ZidaKredit reserves the right to refuse service or cancel an application if any eligibility criteria are not met.
ZidaKredit offers the following loan products, subject to availability and eligibility assessment:
Personal Loans: Unsecured personal loans for individuals, with amounts typically ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦5,000,000 and repayment periods from 1 to 24 months.
Car Loans: Vehicle financing for new and used cars, with amounts up to ₦10,000,000 and repayment periods up to 48 months.
Business/MSME Loans: Working capital and growth financing for small and medium businesses, with customised terms based on business cash flow.
Payday Loans: Short-term bridge loans for salary earners, repayable on or before the next payroll date.
Proof of Funds: Temporary credit facility to support visa and embassy applications, repayable within an agreed short term.
Consumer Loans: Loans for household goods, electronics, and personal consumer needs.
All loan terms, interest rates, and fees are disclosed in the Loan Offer Letter provided before disbursement. No funds will be disbursed without your explicit acceptance of the loan offer.
Submitting a loan application does not constitute a binding agreement. ZidaKredit will assess your application based on our internal credit policies and the information you provide.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information throughout the application process. Providing false or misleading information is a criminal offence under the Criminal Code Act and Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, and may result in immediate rejection of your application and reporting to relevant authorities.
ZidaKredit reserves the sole right to approve or decline any application without obligation to provide reasons.
All interest rates, origination fees, and other charges will be clearly disclosed in your Loan Offer Letter prior to disbursement. By accepting a loan offer, you agree to repay the full amount including all applicable charges.
Late Payment: A late payment fee applies to any repayment not made by the agreed due date. This fee will be communicated in your Loan Offer Letter.
Prepayment: You may repay your loan in full before the due date without a prepayment penalty. Early repayment may result in a rebate of unearned interest, as disclosed in your loan agreement.
Default: If you default on two or more consecutive repayments, ZidaKredit reserves the right to declare the full outstanding balance immediately due and payable, engage debt recovery services, and report the default to licensed credit bureaux.
By accepting a loan offer, you authorise ZidaKredit to debit your designated repayment account on each scheduled repayment date for the agreed instalment amount.
It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available in your account on each repayment date. ZidaKredit is not liable for any bank charges resulting from failed debit attempts due to insufficient funds.
If you anticipate difficulty making a repayment, you must contact us at least 5 business days before the due date. ZidaKredit may, at its sole discretion, consider a restructuring or deferment arrangement.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
You specifically consent to ZidaKredit submitting your loan performance data to licensed credit bureaux in Nigeria, including in the event of default.
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software — is the property of ZidaKredit Nigeria Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written consent.
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose - Submit false or misleading information during the application process - Impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity - Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or any system or network connected to it - Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Platform - Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Platform - Engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, or overburden the Platform
Violations may result in immediate termination of your access and may be referred to law enforcement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZidaKredit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
ZidaKredit's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount of the loan fee paid by you in the transaction giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to mediation. If mediation fails within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, with the seat of arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
